Synopsis:
This documentary film tells the "Rags To Riches" story of a legendary concert promoter from the 1960s - a duddy kravitz meets sammy glick-type character who goes from selling ladies' dresses out of the trunk of his car, to promoting many of the biggest names in early rock 'n' roll and country & western (bill haley, buddy holly, jerry lee lewis, carl perkins etc.)

This is a non-union, feature-length documentary. Shooting starts November 23rd for approximately 18 days ending December 18th in the greater toronto area and the hamilton and burlington area. We are not recording sound. Our primary cast will work as many as 12 - mostly consecutive days. Secondary cast (to be issued separately) works approximately 1-4 days. We are looking for 40 roles in total.

This project has attracted some of canada?s top filmmakers both because of the unique story it tells and because of its appeal to international audiences.
