Oklahoma!: Rodgers & Hammerstein’s first collaboration remains, in many ways, their most innovative, having set the standardsand established the rules of musical theatre still being followed today. Set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Although the road to true love never runs smooth, with these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, love’s journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road. That they will succeed in making a new life together we have no doubt, and that this new life will begin in a brand-new state provides the ultimate climax to the triumphant Oklahoma!.

Newsies: Set in New York City at the turn of the century and based on a true story, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged 'newsies,' who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. But when publishing titans Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for and rallies newsies from across the city to strike and take a stand for what's right.

The Gospel at Colonus: Sophocles' Oedipus at Colonus, in which the exiled king Oedipus seeks a place where he may be properly buried, is retold as a gospel musical within the framework of a Pentecostal church service.

Spelling Bee: An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.

Evita: Evita is the smash pop opera that follows Eva’s passionate rise to power from the streets of her youth in a rural province outside Buenos Aires, to show business stardom, to becoming the most powerful female political figure in Argentina—the wife of the president Juan Perón. Evita features classic songs from lyricist Tim Rice and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber including “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”, “Oh What a Circus”, “Buenos Aires”, and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall”. Revered as a saint, cursed as a devil, Eva Perón’s dramatic, meteoric rise from poverty to prosperity is a groundbreaking and heart-wrenching depiction of populism, politics, and celebrity.

Candide: Candide is the illegitimate nephew of a German baron. He grows up in the baron’s castle under the tutelage of the scholar Pangloss, who teaches him that this world is “the best of all possible worlds.” Candide falls in love with the baron’s young daughter, Cunégonde. The baron catches the two kissing and expels Candide from his home. On his own for the first time, Candide is soon conscripted into the army of the Bulgars. He wanders away from camp for a brief walk, and is brutally flogged as a deserter. After witnessing a horrific battle, he manages to escape and travels to Holland.
